Camp Overview
The MJCCA Day Camps Staff-in-Training (SIT) program is a dynamic, hands-on program designed to help rising 9th graders learn to be caring, nurturing, and fun counselors. Participants will gain real-world experience working with campers at MJCCA Day Camps, bringing energy and creativity to the day while developing valuable leadership skills.
SITs will meet twice weekly in cohort sessions featuring influential community leaders, focusing on leadership development, best practices for working with children, and turning leadership ideas into action. The program will include meaningful mitzvah community service projects, offering participants a chance to apply their new skills and earn community service hours.
With a focus on mental health, personal strengths development, and addressing community needs, the SIT program equips teens with the tools they need to become compassionate, innovative leaders.
